Surgiris’ history is closely linked to the evolution of medical and surgical practices. Origins: expertise rooted in medical lighting
Originally, Surgiris specialized in the design of medical and surgical lighting systems for operating rooms and care areas. From its early years, the company chose a technical development path based on strong expertise in optical, mechanical, and electronic technologies, in order to deliver reliable, high-performance, and durable lighting solutions.
This initial expertise in surgical lighting enabled Surgiris to establish itself as a recognized player, capable of meeting the strict requirements of hospital environments, both in terms of lighting quality and regulatory compliance.
Expanding expertise toward comprehensive solutions
Over time, Surgiris expanded its offering to address increasingly comprehensive needs within operating rooms and interventional suites. The company integrated the development of ceiling-mounted medical arms, support systems, fixed columns, and medical equipment integration solutions.
This evolution followed a consistent technical approach: delivering complementary solutions designed to work together and integrate seamlessly into complex medical environments. Surgiris thus evolved from a lighting manufacturer into a designer of comprehensive solutions for the organization and ergonomics of care spaces.

The consecration of a story through success
Over the past 20 years, many employees have joined Surgiris, the workforce has grown tenfold, and two subsidiaries have been opened abroad. The company now boasts “Made in France” expertise that is recognized worldwide.
Today, 60% of its production is exported internationally to more than 50 countries, with over 1,000 lights sold each year.
